Galena Schoolhouse 1882

The schoolhouse cost $1,135 plus $25 for extra work.  The builder was W. V Doyle.
Julia Rogers was the first teacher, and her salary was $55 per month.

The school closed after the 1942-1943 school year.  Eva Gibson was the last teacher.  She was paid $90 per month.

The schoolhouse has been used periodically for field trips from area schools.
